Mediha Khan, born in Dortmund, studied the piano with Prof. Gesa Lücker und Prof. Sheila Arnold at „Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln“.
The link between literature and music touches and inspires her since she took Lied lessons with Prof. Jürgen Glauß and Prof. Stefan Irmer there.
In 2019 she completed with honours her master of music Lied with Prof. Alexander Schmalcz and Chamber Music with Prof. Caspar Frantz at Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“ Leipzig.
There she continues her studies with concert examination Lied.
Lieder Recitals led her to well-known festivals and concert series such as „Heidelberger Frühling“ under the leadership of Thomas Hampson, „Lied in Dresden“ under the leadership of KS Olaf Bär, Mendelssohn Remise Berlin, CRR Concert Hall Istanbul and the large recording studio of the MDR Leipzig. There she was engaged from 2017 to 2019.
Mediha Khan holds fellowships from the Lied Academy „Heidelberger Frühling“, the LIEDacademy LIEDBasel, the Udo Reinemann Academy Brussels, the Phillip Moll fellowship for Liedpianists and the YEHUDI MENUHIN LIVE MUSIC NOW Köln e.V.
Masterclasses with KS Brigitte Fassbaender, Wolfram Rieger, Thomas Quasthoff, Christiane Oelze, Phillip Moll, Roy Howat and furthermore Anthony and Joseph Paratore formed her outstanding deep musical understanding.
